Adding one of those to your non-drive side should bring your chainline inboard by 2.5mm, but just verify your crank doesn't rub against the bearing cup or inner race if you do so.SubGothiushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09640207489668586971noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5034105130500043263.post-79532151687981240352021-07-23T19:45:07.506-07:002021-07-23T19:45:07.506-07:00Too little too late? When you say a small gap is normal does that mean a 2.5mm is normal? I do not have any side to side play at all but it just seems like the gap is too much. Right now my chainline is almost 50mm so I'm trying to source out a spacer that's about 1.25mm to bring in the chainline and at the same time fill some of that gap. Coming from the Shimano system and seeing the gap between the crank spider and the bearing seal I began "gently persuading" the crank with a rubber mallet as I have always done on my Shimano cranks. After quite an effort it finally came in contact with the drive side bearing while to my dismay the non-drive side bearing was sticking out of it's cup by 3-4 milimeters, being pushed out by the spindle ridge. In recent memory I can't remember feeling more stupid and ashamed by myself lol. Oh well, I guess you learn from your mistakes, but the fact that the crank spider doesn't need to come in contact with the bearing seal on the drive side should've been at least mentioned in the manual. That's a big miss on SRAM/Truvativ's side.Vladimir Lekovhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13559794253695377322noreply@blogger.com
